I had been a long time since Monster Jam had made a visit to Oakland, the last visit was in January 2002.   We were not sure what the weather would be like and it turns out that mother nature was not kind to the event, there was rain and wind the entire time.

The course was nothing but a mud hole.   For the monster trucks, it was only about driving skills, power was not an issue for anyone.  Too much power and you were sure to spin out.   There were quite a few trucks that suffered this fate.

For the Quad Wars, it seemed like they were having a hard time just getting around the track.   They never really got going too terribly fast, and it looked like the mud was just about up to their axles.

All in all, it was a good event and we hope that they will have it again in Oakland next year.
